Members: Find out all about Close the Gap, ETFO's most recent campaign to provide all Elementary students with the same educational funding as their Secondary brothers and sisters. Go to the ETFO Provincial website www.etfo.ca and read all about the Close the Gap campaign.

While visiting the Provincial website also look at all of the wonderful PD being offered. As a member of ETFO you may take advantage of any ETFO programs.

Local PD Opportunities:

Once again our PD Committee under the direction of BetteAnne Stevenson has done a terrific job offering PD for our members. Thank you Bette Anne for your hard work and dedication to your role.

This Winter/ Spring Offerings are listed below. Application forms for each workshop will arrive in the Elementary OTs mailing due to arrive in your home the first week of October.

Register early because these workshops fill up quickly. Registration will not be taken through CHATT or email. You must submit your application and the holding fee ($10.00 per event) in order to complete registration. The $10.00 will be returned to you if you show up for the event. The cheque will be cashed if you do not show up.

INTERVIEW SKILLS

Kathy will once again present this workshop! Hone your interview skills and learn what is expected through a mock interview outlining current Halton practices. Pick up ideas and strategies to help you come out on top of this stressful interview process.

HEOT Professional Development Subsidies !!!!!

!! Forms will be available on our website along with other Subsidy forms !!

HEOT is pleased to continue the Professional Reading Subsidy. Written resources, classroom tools, kits, etc. are now eligible for a subsidy from the Local.

Members may apply once per year to a maximum of $25 to be reimbursed a Professional Reading Subsidy. Members may also apply once yearly for a PD Subsidy to a maximum of $100 for attendance at approved workshops, seminars and conferences.
